SIOP ASIA President
Welcome to SIOP ASIA 2026 – Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is with great honor and deep responsibility that I welcome you to the SIOP Asia 2026 Congress, to be held in the heart of Mongolia.
Asia is home to more than half of the world’s children and to some of the greatest disparities in pediatric cancer outcomes. This reality defines our mission. SIOP is not only a scientific community, but it is also a movement: to ensure that where a child is born should not determine whether that child survives cancer.
Mongolia is a powerful and symbolic host. A country of vast landscapes and resilient people, it reminds us that strength, innovation, and progress often emerge from places that challenge conventional thinking. This Congress will bring together clinicians, researchers, nurses, policymakers, advocates, and partners from across the region and beyond to share science, exchange experience, and build solutions that are relevant, realistic, and impactful.
I warmly invite you to Ulaanbaatar in 2026 to learn, to lead, and to shape the future of pediatric oncology in Asia and beyond, together.

Message from the
LOCAL ORGANISING COMMITTEE CHAIR
It is my great honor and pleasure to host the SIOP Asia Congress in Mongolia for the first time and to warmly welcome you to Ulaanbaatar for the 18th SIOP Asia Congress, to be held from 25–28 June 2026.
Our theme, “Together for Change: Science, Compassion, and Hope for Every Child,” is a call for collective action - uniting clinicians, researchers, advocates, patients, and survivors to advance scientific excellence while ensuring that compassion and hope remain at the heart of pediatric cancer care.
The Congress will feature a comprehensive scientific program with impactful sessions designed for clinicians, researchers, foundations, and survivor communities. We are also pleased to announce the development of a joint website for SIOP Asia and CCI Asia, and we hope this collaborative website will become a tradition for future congresses.
Mongolia has been recognized by Lonely Planet as one of the world’s top travel destinations. Beyond the conference, we hope you will take the opportunity to experience the rich traditions, unique culture, and warm hospitality of our country.
